What is it?

2 components in one exhibit that allow visitors to create alongside the musicians.

1. Boat shaped sequencer for visitors.

8 glass panels light up inside in sequence.

Up to 4 visitors push on 8 lilly pad pedals on the side, to play the panel's corresponding note on a loop as the sequence passes.

The pedals stay pushed in to create unique loop sequences.

2. Electric adungu/ nyatiti/ masenqo for musicians.

Played by digital actuators that can be pre-programmed or played remotely.

Musicians will each compose a 'metronome track' It will play live performances by our musicians and recorded ones.

This will act as background music and be in time with the sequencer.
